Embroidery is a time-honored technique for decorating and personalizing garments. Today, we preserve this craftsmanship while using advanced materials and state-of-the-art machinery, enabling high-definition embroidery at scale.

This technique allows us to customize our uniforms with exceptional durability, as embroidery is highly resistant to washing and wear. In addition to its longevity, embroidery offers a distinctive, premium look and is a powerful tool for reinforcing corporate identity.

CONDITIONS FOR EMBROIDERY

These Embroidery Terms and Conditions govern the provision of the personalization service by embroidery on garments and other textile items:

1. Purpose and Scope of Application

1.1. Garments and accessories eligible for embroidery:

  • Only garments supplied by (GLOBAL UNIFORMS, S.L.) will be embroidered.

1.2. The client accepts these terms by:

  • Approving an embroidery order.
  • Confirming an order placed at www.globaluniforms.es.
  • Accepting an embroidery sample or final artwork.

2. Types of Garments and Technical Limitations

2.1. Embroidery can generally be performed on:

  • T-shirts, polos, shirts.
  • Sweatshirts, jackets, fleece jackets.
  • Lab coats, scrub tops, workwear.
  • Caps, bandanas.
  • Other compatible textile items.

2.2. Recommended embroidery areas:

  • Left/right chest.
  • Sleeve (upper).
  • Back (upper or central).
  • Front or side area on caps.

2.3. Areas not recommended or not suitable for embroidery:

  • Areas with thick seams, zippers, or pockets very close to the embroidery area.
  • Padded, very thick, or filled areas that prevent proper hooping.

2.4. (GLOBAL UNIFORMS,S.L.) reserves the right to refuse a job if the type of garment or the chosen area does not allow for a quality result.

3. Design Requirements (Final Artwork)

3.1. The client must provide the design to be embroidered in one of the following formats:

  • Preferred: vector files (.AI, .EPS, vector .PDF).
  • Alternative: high-resolution images (mminimum 300 dpi) in .PNG, .JPG, .TIFF.

3.2. Embroidery limitations:

  • Photographs or complex gradients are not recommended; embroidery works with solid color areas.
  • Recommended minimum text size: 5–6 mm in height, with sufficient stroke thickness to remain legible in thread.
  • LLines that are too fine, very small detailsos, or very long texts at a reduced size may lose definition or merge together.

3.3. The number of colors will be limited to the available thread card. We will attempt to match Pantone or similar colors specified by the client as closely as possible, but slight variations may occur due to the thread and fabric material.

4. Embroidery Digitizing

4.1. To embroider a design, it is necessary to perform digitizing or punching of the file, i.e., converting the design to a stitch file compatible with the membroidery machine.

4.2. Digitizing will incur an additional cost to the embroidery.

4.3. Unless expressly agreed in writing, the digitizing file is the property of (GLOBAL UNIFORMS, S.L.) and is not delivered to the client. The price paid covers:

  • The technical and creative work.
  • The time spent on testing and adjustments.
  • The applied professional expertise.

4.4. If the client wishes to acquire the digitizing file for use at third-party workshops, they must request it in advance and accept the corresponding additional cost.

5. Location, font, color and embroidery order

5.1. Before production, the following will be specified in writing (Embroidery Order):

  • Exact location of the embroidery on the garment.
  • Font type (Open Sans, Trebuchet or Brush Script).
  • Thread colors to be used.
  • Type of embroidery (name, logo, name + specialty or name + logo).

5.2. The client must review this information before confirming the embroidery order. 

6. Threads, backings and finishes

6.1. Embroideries will generally be done with:

  • High-quality polyester or rayon thread for textile use.
  • Appropriate reinforcements (interfacings/stabilizers) depending on the type of fabric and design density, to prevent wrinkles and distortions. 

6.2. When the design requires it, the following may be used:

  • Double layers of stabilizer.
  • Specific techniques.

7. Samples, tests and approvals

7.1. For new desigos or volume jobs, the following may be done:

  • stitched sample on similar test fabric.
  • Or a stitched sample on a real garment (with additional cost if applicable).

7.2. The client must approve the sample in writing (email, signature on sheet, etc.). Once approved:

  • Any change in size, color, position or design may require a new digitizing and/or new costs.

7.3. In repeat productions (restocking of already completed embroideries), the same parameters approved in the first order will be used, unless otherwise indicated by the client.

8. Minimum quantimes and production times

8.1. Minimum embroidery quantimes may be established depending on:

  • Type of product.
  • Design complexity.
  • Number of colors.

8.2. The production time will be indicated in the quotation or order confirmation and will begin to count from:

  • Receipt of initial payment (if applicable).
  • Approval of the sample or final artwork (whichever is later).

8.3. Rush orders (shorter than standard lead time) may incur an express surcharge subject to production availability.

9. Prices, payments and order modifications

9.1. Embroidery prices are calculated based on:

  • Approximate number of stitches or design size.
  • Number of colors.
  • Type of garment and embroidery area.
  • Total quantity of garments.
  • Whether digitizing is needed.

9.2. The quotation will be valid for the indicated period (for example, 30 days). After that period, it may be revised.

9.3. (GLOBAL UNIFORMS, S.L.) may request a deposit (partial or total) to start the work. The remainder will be paid upon delivery or according to agreed terms.

9.4. Modifications to design, quantity or order characteristics once work has started may involve:

  • New lead times.
  • Price revision.
  • Additional costs for materials already prepared.

9.5. For personalized products, no right of withdrawal will be accepted once the production process has started.

10. Intellectual property and use of logos

10.1. The client declares that:

  • They possess the necessary rights of use over logos, brands, texts, images and any design delivered for embroidery.
  • Releases (GLOBAL UNIFORMS, S.L.) from any responsibility arising from claims regarding copyright, trademarks, or unauthorized use of images. 

10.2. (GLOBAL UNIFORMS, S.L.) will not use the client’s desigos for purposes unrelated to the order, except with express authorization.

10.3. Unless expressly prohibited in writing by the client, (GLOBAL UNIFORMS, S.L) may use photographs of completed work as examples in:

  • Website.
  • Social media.
  • Catalogs or promotional material.

11. Washing and Care Instructions

11.1. Embroideries are designed to withstand normal use and washing, as long as the garment’s care instructions and general recommendations are followed:

  • Wash inside outs when possible.
  • Avoid bleach and harsh detergents.
  • Do not iron directly on the embroidery (use a cloth or iron inside outs).

11.2. The characteristics of the fabric, thread type, and reinforcement may influence:

  • The feel of the embroidery.
  • How it behaves during washing and ironing.

11.3. (GLOBAL UNIFORMS, S.L.) will not be responsible for damagos caused by improper use, harsh treatments (industrial laundries without notice, dyes, etc.) or failure to follow the washing instructions.
